<Sharn-Lugonn> I use my "normal" ship most of the time - but in time of need, I take my Thargoid. Like when I need to get somewhere really fast. Like now.
<Sharn-Lugonn> As you may remember, the "normal" ship is a Cobra Mk3 at the moment.

<Sharn-Lugonn> Oh, I have not made up my mind about that.
<Shazzer> My Asp is called "Saguaro"

<rabidviXen> Picture this: Deep space, the camera pans around gently to reveal an illuminated dark blue cobra Mk. III cruising in ... the ship makes a slow beauty pass and then the camera pivots around to reveal a golden world beyond. The ship's obvious destination.

<Shazzer> Fade away and radiate..
<rabidviXen> ... we hear light comm-chatter from the ship as it heads for the planet. A COL station swings into view and the ship heads for it ... we see the ship dock. This time the view is from the bridge, the crew working the controls. At the center of the console is a unit which looks like an old BBC model B.
<Sharn-Lugonn> I thought that a Cobra has only the pilot and not more crew members.
<rabidviXen> The crew look out of the camera's as they approach the station - and then, in a moment, we realize just how huge the station is. Other ships are coming and going ... wow!

<rabidviXen> One pilot, but there is nothing to say that two people can't operate it (remember the dark wheel novella)
<rabidviXen> So, this is MY beginning ... see, the idea works!
<Sharn-Lugonn> An orbital city would look huge.

<rabidviXen> Yes, it would, at one kilometer across, the planet would be shown (behind) the ship, as the docking port always faced the planet in the old days.
<Shazzer> Why did it?
<rabidviXen> And in case you've wondering, the station would not be LHO ... but it is tempting.
<Sharn-Lugonn> LHO does not seem to be orbiting a planet.
<rabidviXen> To make the game interesting, and to assist in locating the docking corridor on the classic version.
<rabidviXen> LHO is not orbiting a planet - its located in the depths of the Diso system, at the edge of the system.

<rabidviXen> ... I always wanted to write a zero-G sequence in which a couple of commanders are flying a orbit shuttle to an orbital dock inside a station, - a little like ST:TMP or the beauty-pass in Disney's, The Black Hole at the beginning.
