Eagle Mk3 encounters a Lynx Bulk Carrier!

So, here is the story so far... On Sunday, a friend wanted me to teach him a few lessons on flying pace ships - he owns an Eagle Mk3 with a 5 MW pulse laser, and works for AJN (Alliance Joint Navy), so he has some decent custom equipment installed. So what he was going to do - basically, do some space travel, try rough landing on some high G planets and so. Then he docked at a space station and I was not happy seeing that! So I told him: "At least 20 more minutes FLYING in space, not loitering and visiting pubs and bars at the space station!" I recommended him to take a closer look at the big ships flying round the station. So he really DID a closer look - stopping about some 2 meters near the engines of a Lynx BC! That was fascinating so I decided to take some photos. Here they are, click on a picture for a 640x400 size. These might look a bit blurry, but that's because of anti-aliasing. And which one is better - a blurry one or a pixelated one? If the latter is the case, then let me know, I can enlarge the pictures also without anti-aliasing, but I like it more this way.

So this had been the situation before the thing begun. But you have surely already noticed lots of items flying around... yes, the remnants of the police. Completely incapable of taking-off, as I say.

And now, a single shot as seen from the outside view...

You see? But since the Eagle has only got a pulse laser, I was not able to catch the laser flash... So you only see the dust which was the result. Watch the time and Hull strength! My friend liked that so he continued to fire. After few overheats...

This is seen from inside of the Eagle - the dust clouds covered the whole view because of the vicinity of the ship.

And the FINAL sequence - which is the best indeed. Dedicated to Cmdr. Jannah Berihn, although this is no match to her actions in the area of space stations and similar large constructions. So here it goes... the final shot!

Watch Hull and time! Here we have the neat little Lynx nice in sight.

Where is the Lynx? And suddenly... disappeared without any show and fireworks? Notice how the time and date begins to slide up to reveal that "Target Lost" info.

BOOM! Heh, a nice one.So HERE it comes! A pretty blast, considering the distance of the camera as you can see from the pictures above..

Target lost... Yes, that is true. And here are the remnants of the Lynx Bulk Carrier... though the Eagle is still inside of that cloud in the centre.

I hope you like these; the work on a LR Cruiser began, but was interrupted by my friend's duties. So we will have a close look on that one the next time.
